12 DoC Day Ten- Masquerade Masks

Hello, and welcome to day 10! Can you believe this has gone by so fast? Anyways, today I will be showing you how to make these simple masks that are perfect for the masquerade ball tomorrow! They are super customizable and easy to make, so you can make a lot in a short time.

You will need:
-Cardstock paper
*Scissors (as well as sewing scissors that are small for the eye holes)
*Tape
*Sting, yarn, ribbon, etc.
*A doll handy
*Pencil
*Glitter, lace, ribbon, stickers, anything you want to decorate it with.

1) I first made a small rectangle out of paper and put it over my doll's face, roughly sketching where the eyes are.

2) I then used it to trace onto pretty paper, and I trimmed it to my liking.
3) I measured the eyes again and cut out small circles with my small sewing scissors.
4) I decorated with a sticker.

I also made the eye hole edges look a little neater by outlining them in Sharpie.

5) Use the mask you just made to make as many more as you like. You just have to trace, cut, and decorate! The first one is definitely more harder than the ones that follow.

To decorate this one, I used a makeup sponge to press on some gold ink, but you can't really tell in this photo.

For this one I just added some lace and a bow on one side.
There are so many different possibilities!

6) When you're finished with decorating, cut out two pieces of string, ribbon, yarn, etc. and tape them to each side of the mask.

Try it on your doll, and you are done!

Do you have masks for the ball yet?
