Spring into Summer~ Flower Hair Piece!

Hi! I'm Katie from the blog Adollable Dolls and YouTube Myinnerstarustudios. Today I'm going to show you how to make a flower hair piece!

You're going to need:

2 different kinds of fabric

Needle and thread

Scissors

Hot glue gun

Felt

Barrette or hair elastic

Button

First cut 1 strip from one of the fabrics 1 1/2 inches wide and 12 inches long. Cut another strip out of the other fabric 1 inch wide and 12 inches long.

One one of the strips, fold into little folds and stick a needle through them. Once you have gone to the end of the fabric, spread out the folds a bit.

Sew the ends together. repeat with the other strip of fabric.

Lay the smaller circle on the bigger one matching up the holes in the middle.Sew a button on top of the middle.

Cut a small rectangle of felt, fold in half, and just glue the ends together. Hot glue on the back of the flower and then slide a barrette through the open part of the rectangle. Or, you can just stick a hair elastic to the rectangle before you hot glue the ends closed.

     

You're done! It's the perfect accessory to add a little spring to any outfit!
