Happy New Year- Get Writing

                                                                           
Emily is writing her resolution for 2013, with a glamorous new pen! Now you can make one for your doll!!

                                                             
                                                  You Will Need      
                                       
                                              2 or 3 colors of thin ribbon
                                                        gems
                                                      scissors
                                                        ruler
                                                     a Sharpie
                                                       straw
                                                   hot glue gun

                                                                               
                  First, cut the straw 1 1/2 inches, with a slanted edge. Next cut 1 1/2 inch strips of the ribbon, and cut them in half lengthwise. Then, glue them inside and on top of the non slanted side.

                                                                     
If you like, you can add different colors of ribbon to add more color. After you have glued down the ribbon, add a gem to the bottom of each to weigh them down. You can also put one on top. Then, color the tip of the straw with the Sharpie-this is the part you write with. Next, wrap the wrest of the straw with ribbon, and secure with hot glue.

 To make a list, just cut a rectangle out of computer paper, and your doll can write away!!
