7 Days of Valentine//Day 1- Heart Socks

Since my Christmas series got nowhere this year, I decided to be extra-Valentiney this year! Each day leading up to Valentine's Day, one of my dolls will be showing you a Valentine-related project based on their interests. Today Elizabeth is starting off and showing a very cute DIY fashion project!

--

Hey guys! This is Elizabeth, and today I will show you how to make these adorable heart socks inspired by Bethany Mota's Spring Collection for Aeropostale, perfect for Valentine's Day! (Note from Claire- I got a skirt like the one Elizabeth's wearing and some socks like these today at Aeropostale, which was my inspiration.) These are really simple, and if you're not that into Valentine's Day but still want to show some spirit, these socks are the perfect touch to any outfit!

You will need:
*Plain socks in any color (I recommend knee-high)
*Pink or red felt
*Scissors
*Scrap cardboard
*Hot glue gun/hot glue

1) Start by cutting out two similar-shaped hearts out of the felt. You can use a template, but I just folded the felt over and cut a half heart. It's not as simple as it seems to get two hearts to look mostly alike!

2) Flatten one sock so that the front is showing. Slip a piece of scrap cardboard inside so that the front and back of the sock don't stick together when you glue the hearts on.

3) Glue the hearts down. I glued mine near the top.

Repeat with the other sock and you're done!

They looks so cute with my outfit. :)
