New AG Releases- What I Think

Hey! As you probably have heard, AG released some new stuff recently! But, it's not the best...

Coconut Fun Outfit- $28
Cute- but probably not something I'm going to buy. The colors together aren't great. Maybe to mix and match the pieces but...

Gymnastics Outfit- $24
Again, I don't like these colors together. Maybe, if I see this item in real life, I'll like it. But other than the colors, it looks pretty real.

Gymnastics Set- $85
This was A REALLY popular item when McKenna was around, so I think it will sell fast. AGAIN aching about the colors and price, when you can make this yourself, but still really cute:)

Polar Bear pajamas- $24
ISN"T THIS THE CUTEST THING EVER?!?!?!? I LOVE the colors, and the style and the lace- totally something I would wear! LOVE the slippers:)

Spa Chair- $110
Wow, this is REALLY cool but not the price. 'Nuff said.

Salon Stylist Set- $38
CUTE!

Salon Center- $49
Eh. Like the last one.

Frosty Fair Isle Set- $30
Well, I'm not as excited as a lot of people are at this outfit. I already have on almost exactly like this from 123MulberryStreet- and it's cuter. Love the leggings+boots, though.

Puffy Jacket- $24
Not attractive. Too...puffy.

Snow Much Fun Set- $48
Cute, but I think I'll attempt at making this...once it IS winter...
#Whycan'tAGhavefallstuff

Sparkle Party Dress- $38
Really pretty-love the tights:)
What's with the Oompa-Loompa hairstyle?

Brocade Holiday Dress- $36
Adorable! Would look STUNNING on Dakota!

Holiday Accessories- $28
I don't really see most of these as accessories...

As you can see, AG has it's flaws. But what happened? The Spring and Summer releases we're like, RIGHT on trend!

A quick FAQ Question i really want to answer...

Hey! So someone asked me a question...

Q: Why is your blog called Carrot and Claire? I get the Claire part cuz you're Claire. But who's Carrot?
A: This is Carrot:
Carrot
My bunny! Originally, this wasn't a doll blog, just basically a meeting place for my friends. Then I started posting doll stuff(I seriously DID NOT know how many doll blogs there are!) and it stuck! So really Carrot's the star of the show...maybe I should post more about him:)

Hope this helped!

Easy Doll Decor- Pictures

Want beautiful artwork for your dolls, but just don't know how? It's easy! Just look in a magazine and you will find lots of expensive-looking pictures.

You will need:
*magazine(ask before cutting up)
*card stock(preferably black or white)
*scissors
*glue stick

1) Find a picture in the magazine you like, with a frame...
...or without.

2) Cut it out.
3) Glue to card stock.
4) Cut out.

Done!

Here are some other ones I made.

Another option is to:
Cut out something you like.
Glue to card stock.
Cut out with a square or rectangle(or circle!) around it.

~OR~

Cut out a rectangle picture.
Glue to card stock.
Cut it into 3 equal parts.
Hang them up on your doll's wall with a little space in between.

To hang up the pictures:
Use double-stick tape or poster putty on the back to put on your doll's walls.

Why did I make so many? I'm starting to decorate my MG and MH doll's NEW dollhouse! It's 3 stories!

Doll Hair Tips: Long Hair

Is your doll's long hair often getting tangled or messy? Elizabeth's hair was like that until I discovered these helpful tips.

1. Use Water!
If you don't have a spray bottle for your dolls, buy one now! They are sooo useful for calming down your dolls hair!

2. Use a Toothbrush!
This may sound weird, but I actually use a soft brush tooth brush on Elizabeth more that the wire brush! Just spray some water on it and brush away! Trust me, you'll see the results!
Just remember to always use a new one!

3. Keep it Back!
If you're doing a photo shoot, it's best to keep your doll's hair out of her face. Bring it back with a cute clip or stylish headband, and she's ready to go!

4. Don't Play Rough!
Remember to not play rough with your dolls, especially long-haired ones. If your little cousin wants to play with one of your dolls, give her one with short hair. Remember to keep an eye on her, and a brush at the ready!:)

Hope these helped! Do you have any hair tips? Tell me!

Doll Hairstyle: Fancy Braid Bun

Feeling fancy? Give this hairstyle a try! Your doll will be sure to turn heads with this fancy look.

1) Mist and brush your doll's hair.

2) Set aside a small chunk of hair near her face.

3) Gather the rest of her hair.

4) Make a bun with the hair. Bobby pin in place.

5) Braid the small section of hair.

6) Bring the braid back and under the bun and in where the braid stops. Let the end plume out.

Add a pretty accessory, and you're done!

Hope you liked!
