Celebrating Harry Potter's Birthday

If you love Harry Potter as much as Emily does, you'll know that today is Harry and J.K. Rowling's birthday! Because of that, Emily wore her Deathly Hallows tank (made by yours truly) and put a scar on her forehead (with a washable marker).

She also made a cake with oddly colored frosting, inspired by the cake Harry gets.

Her card says, "Happee Birthdae Harry! P.S.- Yer a wizard btw. :)" (you'll get it if you've read the book/watched the movie.)

New Personal Blog!!

Hey guys! As you may know, I have had many personal blogs, but I have hope in this one! 

It's called Echo, and I do hope you will check it out! I would love you forever. :)

Anyways, I would post about my life, crafts, photography, writing, fandoms, stuff like that.

I Think I've Done Something Pretty Cool

I MIGHT Have Figured Out Lightroom...

So for a while now, I've been trying to find good editing software or apps that weren't too confusing. I found some that were okay, but they were missing something. Then I remembered that I my camera had come with Lightroom, which is an editing software by Adobe Photoshop. I tried it out, but it was WAY too confusing for me to handle. But then I found some lovely people on Instagram who use Lightroom and recently posted videos on how they edit:

These videos helped me out a lot and I think I might have figured it out...maybe.

So this was the picture I started out with.

...and this is the end result. It's totally not the best since I'm still learning, but I think I'm improving on my editing skills, even if it's just by a tad.

A Doctor Who Photoshoot

So a couple weeks ago, I did a Doctor Who inspired photoshoot and posted it on my Instagram (@carrotandclaire). People seemed to like it, so I thought I would post them here! So here are nine photos and their captions...

Review on the Flamingo Beach Dress

Hey guys! I will hopefully be back to regular posting now...I've missed you! 

Anyways, the last thing I got at the AGPNY in May was the Flamingo Beach Dress (that's on sale now!) It's originally $28 and comes with the dress, sandals, and a bracelet.

The top of the dress is halter style and the straps around the neck is the only part that velcros.

The print is very cute! It is a very pretty blue color with pink flamingos, starfish, seashells, and flowers, with a hint of gold sparkle. I like how it may seem little-girlish, but it's not.

The bracelet is just pink, white, and orange beads on elastic string with a starfish charm in the middle.

The shoes are probably my favorite part! They're easy to put on and are super cute.

Overall, I absolutely love this dress! It's limited edition (that's what it said in the catalog), so if you're thinking about buying it, do is soon! It's simple and cute for a nice summery outfit. :)

What I've Been Up To

Hey guys! This is just going to be an update post of what I've been up to...

Photographing//my new EAH doll, Ashlynn Ella! She just looked so cute in the store, I had to get her. (I also recently put removable freckles on Evelyn so I had to take some pictures of her cuteness.)

Making//I sewed my (kinda) first doll tank top recently! It was really fun and I can't wait to do more. ^-^

Planning//to re-do my room! Ahhh, I can't wait!! Therefore, I am probably going to re-do my doll room too!

Reading//I'm currently re-reading the Harry Potter series and am about to start reading Heir by Kierra Cass (squeal!).

Listening//Fight Song by Rachel Platten. It is so amazing and inspiring!

Watching//Season 7 of Doctor Who and season 4 of Once Upon A Time!

Writing//trying to write a Sleeping Beauty retelling for a contest...err, we'll see how that goes.

Basically doing this whole summer//vacations, parties, amusement parks, bike rides, photoshoots...

Okay, so that's about it!
