3 years.

Well, today marks my third blogiversary. 

Third.

I had my blog for three years!

Now that sounds crazy.

It's funny to think how this blog wasn't originally going to be a doll blog. I didn't even know there were such things as doll blogs! I named my blog after Carrot, my bunny, and me. 

Later I found Doll Diaries. I  was sick at the time I think. I had come across it by a link on the doll-clothes.com blog. I was confused about what it was. When I figured it out, I loved it. So I started doing it too!

Four dolls, three cameras, and three years later, I'm still doing it. I try to keep doing it even when I don't feel like it. I've obviously have had my ups and downs, and a lot of times I want to give up. And I know I haven't been the best Blogger lately, but I'm getting back to it. I do all this for you guys, and you mean a lot. It's amazing to me how supportive you guys are. I know I'm not the most famous of Bloggers, (Amaya at Fun With AG Fan was like 200 more followers than me and we started around the same time) but I'm still figuring out what I'm doing and followers don't count. I know that there are people reading my posts, but don't say anything. And I love that! I love when you guys comment and say that I'm one of your favorite blogs or that you're inspired by me. Thank you, all of you from the bottom of my heart! <3

ATTENTION: Q&A QUESTIONS NEEDED!!

Hi! Just a quick post today. We were on vacation to New York over the weekend, so I'm getting around to all of the pictures, but while I'm doing that, I decided to ask you for some questions. My 3rd (!!) blogiversary is coming up on Thursday, and I wanted to do some fun things. I'm making a really big q&a video for you guys, so leave any questions you may have below! Not too personal ones (like my age), but you can ask ones about myself, my dolls, and/or my social media!

Elizabeth's Birthday Party// Behind the Scenes

Hi! Today I'm going to show you more details about Elizabeth's birthday party I showed yesterday.

Here's a vlog-type video showing you how I set it up. :)

All of the presents were actually kind of easy to make.

The posters I just printed off online onto cardstock.

I made really simple books by printing out a book cover and taping it to thick white foam.

The shirt will hopefully be in a tutorial this week. :)

And the cake is just using THIS tutorial, and I printed and cut out a Chanel logo to put on top.

Elizabeth's Birthday Party

Hey guys! It was Elizabeth's birthday on Sunday, and since she loves fashion, I decided to throw a fashion show-themed party!

This is what it looked like all set up. I'll show you more details in a later post.

The girls had all waited for Elizabeth to come back from shopping, and they surprised her as she came in.

She started crying with joy as she hugged everyone.

Next they had a fashion show, and obviously Elizabeth had to stop for a birthday selfie. :)

Then it was time for presents and cake!

She also got two posters, one of Emma Watson and one of Zoella (Zoe Sugg)

Then she got the Love, Tanya book by Tanya Burr.

And Girl Online by Zoella.

Lastly she got a cute shirt!

Then it was time for her delicious Chanel-inspired cake. Yum!

Craft- Make a Doll Cake!

Hey guys! It's Elizabeth's birthday on Sunday, so I thought I'd do a tutorial on a super easy cake that you can customize any way you want to!

You will need:

*A small paper mache box (I don't know exactly what size, but get any size that seems best)

*Craft and puffy paint in any color

*A paint brush

1) Paint your box (not the lid though). Depending on the color, you may need to paint more coats.

Here is what mine looks like when it's fully painted.

2) Decorate with the puffy paint in any way you want.

Let dry and you're done!

You can also use other things to decorate the top with, and if you don't want them to be permenent, just don't glue them down!

Tips On Straightening a Doll's Hair!

For some reason, I never really told anyone this, but Evelyn had a really big crimp in her hair that was there when she came. It never really bothered me, but a week or two ago I decided to get rid of it. Now I suggest that you only straighten a doll's hair IF YOU HAVE TO and with a parent's help. Without extreme caution, you can easily ruin a doll's hair even more.

So this is what Evelyn's hair looked like before when it wasn't brushed.

And this is what it looks like after!

Now there are a lot of videos on how to do it, but I find stephenswodadancer's tutorial especially helpful:

Some tips:

-Make sure your doll's hair is SUPER wet, or it can burn!

-Straighten one section at a time, going from the top to the bottom carefully and for not too long.

-Make sure your doll's hair is not messed up and it is how you want it so that it doesn't permanently stay that way when your straighten it.

-Let your doll's hair dry before doing any hairstyles on her.
