About My Dolls

I got this as a request, so this is some stuff about my dolls!!!

Elizabeth May Cole- Elizabeth is the oldest in the family, and also the fashionista;) She loves small and sweet things, hates germs, and doesn't get the point of video games. She loves to read, cook, make up hairstyles for her and the other girls, and dream up cute outfits. She is think of making a hairstyle blog sometime, but I will tell you once she has made one. Elizabeth does ballet and cheerleading. Her favorite colors are white, very dark pink, and light pink.

Dakota Rose Mapes- Dakota is the second oldest, though she is my third doll. She is interested in painting and guitar, and loves to ride her horse Morgan. She HATES math and LOVES social studies(history). She likes to daydream, and tell everyone she sees with her hour-long thoughts to whoever will listen;) She does volleyball, and may try guitar. As you may know, she loves the word love, and her favorite color is red.

Emily Jane Bennet- Emily is the youngest who loves fiddling around with things and inventing new things for her sisters. You can usually find her pestering her sisters to see if they have any problems she can solve, or reading in her bed. She loves mind-boggling puzzles and brain teasers that drive Elizabeth insane, but sometimes Dakota will work alongside her. Emily does gymnastics. Her favorite colors are all bright and cheery colors.

How to Make a Doll Vanity and Makeup

I made this vanity for my Moxie Girlz doll Lexa a few days ago, and it was SOOO easy to make! And you can make this for any size dolls! I started with a tissue box and cut it in half(I also cut of all the plastic stuff on top). I then cut out a triangular shape of of cardboard, covered it in paper, and glued a smaller sized piece of tinfoil for the mirror. Beside the mirror, I cut tall and short pieces of cardboard for decoration. I also glued a paper diamond to the front. If you were making this for an 18" doll, I would use a big box, but make sure it is tall enough, but not too tall. For perfume bottles, I hot-glued together different beads until they looked like cute expensive bottles. For nail polish, I took a round bead, and glued a long bead on top. For 18" dolls, I would use bigger beads, or items such as bottle caps and pipe cleaners.

The makeup is down below, so that if the vanity falls, the tiny bottles won't go with it, and they are in the middle, so that the front sides won't push them of the edge.:)

the nail polish won't stay up:)

This really reminds me of a Taylor Swift perfume I saw at Wal-Mart!!

This is my favorite perfume bottle, it looks so real!!!

                                                             Something cute;)

Old "My Child" Dolls- What To Do With Them?

When I was at my grandparent's house this weekend, I discovered these old "My Child" dolls that used to be my Mom's and her sisters'. Their pretty cute, but don't smile. And it looks like they were well loved;) I do not think they sell these dolls anymore.

What do you think we should do with these dolls? I also found more information about them here. And some old commercials of them herehere, and here. I also found an American Girl Doll TV Commercial here.

So, please comment what you think!!

How To Make A Super Cute Chair For Moxie Girlz 2

This is how to make pillows for the super cute chair from yesterday, plus an Ipod and earbuds!

For a pillow, cut 2 fabric squares the same size, glue sides together, leaving one side open. Stuff fluff, scrap fabric, or felt inside. Glue side close. You can also do this with duct tape, making sure to put tape on the other side so the squares don't stick together. I made a round pillow out of felt, too.

                        All the pillows I made!

To make the Ipod, I just cut a piece of foam, color the screen with Sharpie, cut 2 pieces of thread, glue to Ipod, and glue to cut ends of a tooth pick. I used hot glue to glue these. (and the pillows)

Tonight I made a LOT more stuff that I hope to post over the next few days, and I did so much, I lost track of time, so I'm doing this kind of late! I hope you like my stuff!!

How To Make A Super Cute Chair For Moxie Girlz 1

Do you know what Lexa is sitting on?

                                                                             This super cute chair!!

This is pretty easy to make and only takes a few supplies. I am making a few parts because its kinda long and I don't have much time. But lets get started!

                                                            You will need:

                                                                    felt
big bottle cap lid (Mine is Tru Moo Chocolate Milk)
                                                                 glue gun
                                                                duct tape
                                                                   foam
                                                         scrap fabric/felt/fluff
                                                                 scissors
                                                                   fabric

Cut a circle wider than your lid out of felt.

Glue down with hot glue so it looks like this.

                                                     From the bottom

                                      From the side

If you like, you can add a small felt shape(s) in the corner.

Cut a shape out of foam that can go around half of the lid, and glue felt to the side like the cap.

Tape duct tape to the back. (Or felt)

Tape duct tape to the bottom of the back of the chair, and tape the back around the bottom.

And you are done with the main chair!

More pillows and such tomorrow!! And sorry I haven't posted part 2 of doll photography, I totally forgot! I will do it sometime;)
